paint-works
The images here explore the relationship of pictures to music using a colour circle of the twelve primary, secondary and tertiary hues in analogous ways that the twelve chromatic notes of the Western musical scale can be organised into musical compositions.
Some of the works are acrylic on paper and some that have been photographed whilst still wet (WATCHING PAINT WET ) and sometimes combined in ninety-degree rotations. In the latter of these there is a sense of a performance going on. Thus the observer can observe paint never drying which one hopes is more interesting than watching paint dry!
The final effect of works done so far seem to me to be delightfully playful at one turn and worryingly visceral at another.
See what you think!
